I believe the Super Toyotas were created by Bob Shockley and Tom Witt. I didn't start until late the 2nd year so I don't know all the beginning fighting but I know these guys were split on the rules and design on the chassis.

 

1993

     The "Super Toyota's" ( Not MST's Yet, the name changes every other year or so...) ran their first race on April 16th 1993 with only 4 cars, Tom Hinkle won after Richard Herzog was disqualified. On May 29th Richard Herzog set the track record ( 16.67 ) and finished 2nd to his brother Gene Herzog in the dash and heat race.  In the Firecracker race Terry Fletcher won the Main. Gene Herzog won the Main in the Harvest and Terry Fletcher won the final main of the year on Oct.9th. On July 3rd Gene broke the track record at a ( 16.65 ) The ST's had 11 races in 1993 with Terry Fletcher and Gene Herzog getting 5 fast times each.  Gene had 4 main wins, 4 dash wins and won the 1st Super Toyota Championship.

1994

    Frank Wisham won the ST Vukovich main this year. Gene Herzog had sweeps on June 11th and Sept 24th. There were 8 ST races in 1994,  Gene Herzog had 7 fast times, 5 dash wins, and 5 main event wins and an easy Track Championship.

1995

    The cars name changed from Super Toyotas to  MST's ( Madera Super Toyota's)  Kenny Kinchen was the Track Champion for '96.

1996

    On 4/22 the Main finish was 1. Kinchen 2. Darrell H. 3. Bryan H. 4. Rick Thompson.  5/4 Main Finish 1. Kinchen 2. Rick Thompson 3. Ron Fena 4. Tom Hinkle.  8/17 was the first ever Smokey Hanioan Memorial and Kenny Kinchen won. 9/28 finish was 1. Kinchen 2. Rick Thompson 3. Geno Violdosla 4. Donnie Large.   Rick Thompson had 7 top 5's and 1 main event win in 1996. Kenny Kinchen ended 1996 with 6 fast times, 3 dash wins, 5 main event wins and the Championship. The final points were Kinchen 860, Bryan Herzog 752, Rick Thompson 672, Donnie Large 628, Darrell Herzog 577.

1997

    The competition was tough in 1997 with Bryan Herzog winning 6 main events and 4 dashes and Darrell Herzog capturing 6 fast times, 4 mains, and 3 dashes. Rick Thompson won 4 dash's, 5 heat races, 4 fast times, and only 1 main event but was Super consistent with 13 of 13 top 5 main event finishes to capture the Super Toyota Track Championship. 4/19 1. 1998

    May 17th Darrell and Bryan Herzog  won heats and Darrell won the dash and main.  Darrell had 6 dash wins in a row and 8 fast times in a row, and won 6 main events; but, Jesus Hernandez won the Championship with 8 top 5's and 2 main wins. Darrell finished 2nd in the points and Kevin Thompson got 3rd in the Championship with 2 main event wins.

1999

    June 28th Jesus won the main. Rick Thompson driving part time, won 1 main event.  Jesus set the new Super Toyota Track Record at ( 16.45 ), won 3 fast times and won his 2nd Track Championship.  4/10 1. Mike Burgess 2.     Randy Manser won 5 main events, had 3 fast times, and 9 top 5's. Kevin Thompson won 3 fast times, had 6 main top 5's, and won 3 main events. James Donaldson won the Rookie of the year.     Mst's are called Toyota Modifieds this year.  Kevin Thompson won the main event on 6/2 with Chris Lewis finishing 2nd, Mike Burgess 3rd, and Randy Manser 4th.   3/24  1. Randy Manser 2.
